It's been a while since I updated. No too long actually, just two weeks. This transition is about to be incredibly awkward.
Anyways, the past two weeks have been interesting. The week of July 23-27 was Corporate Week for the DTSs here in Kona. That means Monday through Thursday all four DTSs running this quarter met together for worship and Lorena and Darlene Cunningham taught us. It was such a blessing to be taught by the founders of our mission. If it weren't for YWAM, I most likely would not even be in the U.S. today. They told us stories of when they first started YWAM and the things they went through in order to teach us the voice of God. I got to have Corporate Week twice because last quarter they had class right outside my window so I heard everything! I really enjoyed hearing it again though.
July 30-August 03 Adam Cox from the Boiler Room in Kansas City talked to us about "the Story". He went through the entire Bible teaching us about the love of the Father. He showed us how everything the Lord did was because He wanted Israel, an the rest of the nations, to be His son. And because Israel couldn't accomplish that He sent Jesus, the Son, to show us how to be sons and to live the perfect life for us. When we accept Jesus we are made perfect sons because we are covered in the blood of the Son. What good news! I really enjoyed Adam's teaching because I love the Bible and I had never heard anyone go through the Bible the way he did. At CSS the main focus when we went through the Bible was the ravished heart of God as a Bridegroom. The super emphasis on Sonship was amazing and it brought back so much I was taught and new things I hadn't heard before! So far, that was my favourite week.

Then Saturday morning team Iceland went on an outing!!!! We went hiking in a place called Waipi'o Valley. It was a pretty fun ride and on the way we explored a lava cave. When we got there it was a little cloudy which was nice so it wouldn't be too hot. The hike was pretty easy for me and if you know me you know I am not athletic at all and I certainly don't go hiking so it must have been very easy. We had to cross a river about three times to reach our destination. And our destination was a waterfall! The waterfall is about 2,000 feet tall! It was gorgeous. When we arrived I did wish the sun would come out because it would have been so beautiful with the sun but I did like the cloud cover. The only bad thing was that there was a dead pig just on the shore so that was a bit gross. It was pregnant too which made it sad. We figured it fell off the cliffs. Oh! i almost forgot, on our way to the waterfall I slipped and fell on a rock and my shoulder made a terrific "crunch" as I landed on it. I still had maybe 30 minutes left to the waterfall and it hurt quite a bit. Somehow I made it there and back without too much difficulty. Nothing is broken, I think I just pulled a muscle. It still hurts so if you would pray for it, I would be much obliged.
After Waipi'o we were planning on going to this mountain called Mauna Kea to watch the sunset and such. Mauna Kea is the highest peak in the state of Hawaii, so high it even has snow on the top! If you measure it from it's oceanic base it's about 4,500 feet taller than Mt. Everest. We weren't able to go to Mauna Kea, however, because we were soaked and would have probably frozen to death, we were riding in a truck and there were seven of us in the back. Maybe not to death, but we certainly would have been cold. Since we didn't go to Mauna Kea we went to Ken's house of Pancakes on the other side of the Island and ate there then we drove home.

THE END.
